Scruggs, Thomas Wayne, 49, of Brandon, Florida entered into Heaven on Wednesday, January 29, 2014. He was born in Germany on May 11, 1964 to Walton and Essie Rea Scruggs. He met his beloved wife and soulmate of 20 short years, Cindy, in Los Angeles while in the Army studying Spanish at the Defense Language Institute in Monterey, CA. They married in San Francisco three years later. To this union was born two beautiful boys, Adam (9) and Noah (12 weeks). A graduate of USF, Tom was a gifted and creative writer. His love of music led him to host his own radio show. Tom was devoted to his loving family and is remembered fondly for his sense of humor and generous heart. He will be missed greatly by many. He leaves behind his beloved wife, Cindy; two sons, Adam and Noah; mother, Essie Rea; brother, Larry; and sister-in-law, Carolyn. He now joins his father Walton and brother Marvin with The Lord. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, February 8, 2014 at 2PM at Hillsboro Memorial Funeral Home of Brandon; family will start receiving guests at 12:30PM.
