Truman Edward Smith

SMITH, Truman Edward, 86, of Tampa, passed away on April 9, 2018. Born in Overton County, TN, he was a carpenter, a U.S. Army Veteran, a member of the Faith Independent Missionary Baptist Church, loved the Lord and helping others; and never met a stranger. He is predeceased by his wife Pearl, his parents Granville & Effie Smith and 6 siblings. He is survived by his sons Tommy Smith (Judy), Randy Smith (Dorothy), Phil Smith (Debbie), daughter Susan Merriett (Edison), sister Francis Smith, 11 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. Flowers will be accepted or donations can be made to LifePath Hospice or Faith Independent Missionary Baptist Church. Memorial service will be Saturday, April 14, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at Hillsboro Memorial Funeral Home.
