Bill was affectionately called Moe by his friends and family. He was known for his quick and crazy sense of humor. He had many lifelong friends from his homeplace in New York. He held strong to his Christian faith and found comfort in knowing Jesus. He loved and enjoyed everything connected to the ocean—water, boating, fishing, music, and the beach. He was a sailor at heart. Some of his fondest memories are fishing with his father Albert, grandfather Herman Blohm, his sons, and grandsons. His dream was to become a Navy pilot, but had poor eyesight, so he became a Navy submariner. He was very proud of his Navy submarine service. His happiest times were with his wife, children, grandchildren, and puppies. His proudest moments were the birth of his children and grandchildren and his marriage to Cristie.
