

PEEL, William (Bill) Skipper (60), passed away Tuesday, July 26, 2016, leaving behind his wife, Cathy Peel of Brandon, Fla.; his children, Wendy Bartlett (Philip), Misty Hilderbrand (Phil), Jack Wynne (Kathy), Daniel Wynne, Anastasia Beck (Brian), Jason Ruhe (Hope), Kimberley Frack (Jayson), Michael Black, Randy Black and Stephanie Crawford (Rick); as well as 18 grandchildren. He was predeceased by family members, father Joseph Ellis Peel and Zoe Peel. He’s survived by his mother Sally Skipper Peel, brother Larry Peel (Abby) and sister Patty Crumpton (Charlie). Bill was born in Greenwood, Mississippi on December 31, 1955. He attended St. Petersburg College, University of South Florida and graduated from the ABC Apprenticeship Electrical School. He continued his education in the field by becoming a master electrical contractor. He was co-owner and President of Power Electric Services. Bill was affiliated with the Independent Electrical Contractor Association (ECA) and the Electrical Council of Florida (ECF). He was a proud member of the AMVETS Post 44, American Legion, Egypt Shriners, Elks Lodge, Fraternal Order of Eagles, Mason Palma Ceia Lodge #290 and the 32nd Degree Scottish Rite. Over the last eight years he dedicated his time and served as past President for Post 44 AMVETS Riders and was the Second Vice of the Sons of AMVETS. He was instrumental in several of the AMVETS Post 44 September 11th Patriot Day Events and Remembrance Rides that supports military personal and first responders. He also gave 39 years of service to the Egypt Shrine Temple. A memorial service will take place on Sunday, July 31 at 2 pm at Stowers Funeral Home, 401 W. Brandon Blvd. Brandon, FL 33511. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to AMVETS Post 44, 5521 State Road 60 East Plant City, FL 33567 or Egypt Shriner Transportation Fund, 405 Dana Shores Drive, Tampa, FL 33634 – Memo: In memory of William Skipper Peel.
