Ada Jane Archer

Ada Jane Archer, age 87, passed away Saturday, October 7th 2023 at the Brantford General Hospital due to a heart attack. She was born November 27, 1935 in the Hamilton area to Leroy and Irene Summers.

Ada met and fell in love with Ross Joseph Archer. They were married November 28, 1952. Ross predeceased her in death in 1977.

Ada was sister to Vera, Shirley, Marilyn, Danny, Willie. Predeceased brothers Roy and Gary and by sisters Hazel, Beverly and Dorothy. Ada was beloved Mom of three children, Judy Lynn (Wayne Tozer), Douglas Ross and Randy Joseph. Grandma to Stacey, Wendy ,Tyler, Christen and Brandon, predeceased by Samantha. Great Grandma to Payton, Emily, Ellie, Mia and George. She was Auntie Ada to all her nieces and nephews.

Mom led a full life as a wonderful Mom and homemaker. She kept an immaculate house. She sewed clothes, cut our hair and baked sweet treats for us every Friday. She managed along with our Dad to make our home a safe and secure home full of love and laughter. We her children were Blessed and are thankful for that firm foundation. Ada had a strong faith in God from the age of seven. Jesus Christ was her Saviour. She proclaimed these truths all her days. She is home now in Heaven, free from all pain and suffering. She will be missed and always remembered.

A graveside service for Ada will be held on Monday, November 27, 2023 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Mount Hope Cemetery, located at 169 Charing Cross St., in Brantford. A reception will follow the service in the Thorpe Brothers' Carriage House at 96 West St., Brantford.
