Peacefully at the Brantford General Hospital on Monday June 11, 2018 in her 88th year. Beloved wife of the late Frank Melara. Dear sister of the late Carmela Luciani (late brother-in-law Rosario). Sister-in-law of Rosaria Venditti (late brother Pasquale). Sister of Mario (Giovanna) Venditti, Maria (Tony) Scapillati, Silvio (Lina) Venditti, Rosario (Tiz) Venditti and Grace (late Tom) Kirkwood. She will be lovingly remembered by many nieces and nephews. Special thanks and appreciation to niece Josie and nephew Tony for their love and attention. Also special thanks to Emidio and Barbara Melara.
The family will receive friends at the “Thorpe Brothers’ Funeral Home and Chapel” 96 West Street on Wednesday from 2:00 to 4:00 pm and 7:00 to 9:00 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Pius X Church, 9 Waverly Street on Thursday June 14th at 10:00 am. Interment at St. Joseph’s Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy donations to the Diabetes Association, Heart and Stroke Foundation, the Canadian Cancer Society.
