Doreen McCormick

Doreen; beloved wife of Robert (“Bob”) McCormick and the late Owen (“George”) McCarville; loving mother of Darryl and his wife Rena of Cambridge, and Mark and his wife Sue of London; Cherished “Grandma Doreen” of Maddy and Joe; dear sister of the late Beryl Lawless (nee Dorsey), James Dorsey, Frank Dorsey, Ralph Dorsey, Walter Dorsey, and Joseph Dorsey. Doreen will also be sadly missed by her many nieces, nephews, family and friends. Doreen was a dedicated member of St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church and longtime employee of Walmart (Woolco). She enjoyed traveling to both PEI and Florida, playing cards, listening to music, dancing, and visiting with her many friends and extended family members. Doreen’s family would like to express their gratitude and appreciation to the staff of the John Noble Home, who provided a wonderful environment and devoted care to her for the past decade.

The family will receive friends at “THORPE BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL”, 96 West Street on Tuesday February 8th from 2-4pm & 7-9pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church, 133 Murray Street, on Wednesday, February 9, 2022 at 11 am. Due to Covid-19 regulations if you would like to attend either of these events please do so by signing up to an available time slot via the link below or by calling the funeral home directly at 519-759-2211. If desired in lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimer’s Society of Canada would be appreciated by the family. Memories and condolences may be shared below.
