Passed away at the Brantford General Hospital on Thursday September 25, 2014 in her 96th year. Predeceased by her husband Joe Taylor (1980) and her son Benjamin (2005). Loving mother of Earl (Vicki), George (Irene), Gerry (Rose), Linda, David (Diane). Dear mother-in-law of Flora and sister-in-law of Joan. She will be lovingly remembered by many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Doris was very involved in her younger years as a zone commander with the Hagersville Legion along with several other legions and was involved with Brant Haldimand and Norfolk Senior Groups.
The family will receive friends at the “ THORPE BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL” 96 West Street, on Sunday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 pm. A Celebration of her life will be held in the chapel on Monday September 29th at 3:00 pm. followed by cremation. As an expression of sympathy, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
