Jadwiga Ciesielski

Jadwiga (nee.Ratajczak) in her 96th year sadly passed away at the BGH in Brantford, Ontario. Lovingly remembered by her 3 children; Les ( Marie Holuj), Alicja (Bernie Bittcher), and Bonnie (Chris Metcalfe).

Deeply loved and remembered by her 9 grandchildren whom she especially loved and cherished: Michelle, Jessica, James, Michael, Bradley, Matthew, Natalie, Stefanie, and Brittany.

Jadwiga was also blessed with 9 great grandchildren: Maksym, Madelyn, Henry, Cassandra, Beatrice, Ronin, Tea, Lionel, and Maeve. All her grandchildren and great grandchildren filled her heart with love, laughter and joy.

Jadwiga (Jadzia) celebrated 63 years, married to Stanisław Ciesielski until his death in 2008. She was a wife, mama, babcia and a pra babcia .

Her first 12 years in Lubonia Poland were spent on a small farm and she continued her love of working outdoors, planting vegetables, and harvesting many varieties of fruit, right up to her 95th year.

Being a wonderful cook and baker, she would always host every Christmas and Easter celebration for her family.

During her care at the BGH she was always appreciative of the care her nurses provided and called them “ her angels “. Special gratitude and thanks to nurses Amelia and Jaz . Your exceptional compassion and kindness to our mother and to her family will never be forgotten.

Rest in peace mama, babcia, pra babcia.

A private family funeral mass was held at St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church on Thursday, May 25, 2023.
