Lois will be remembered for her kind and gentle spirit and indominable nature. Through many medical challenges she always persevered and never lost her positive outlook on life. Lois always gave the very best to her family and contributed what she could to her community. Lois and Ron owned and operated Fennell and Gage Home Hardware on the mountain. They actively participated in the Hamilton Challenger Baseball Association supporting and cheering on special needs children and adults. Called Charlie by her loved ones, Lois enjoyed any game of cards, word puzzles, and the Blue Jays!
As Lois now joins the communion of saints, she is re-united with her parents Fay and Earl Watson, her brother Robert John Watson, and her sister Joanne Brooks. Her memory will continue as a blessing to Ron and Larry as well as her sister, Linda Watson Kaufman (Gregg) and brother-in-law Stirling Brooks (Joanne); her St. Thomas nieces and nephew Shelly Brooks Sturk, Sue Brooks Muschett, and John Brooks; Florida niece and nephew Karen Kaufman Borcherding and Daniel Kaufman. Their families will remember their Aunt Charlie as a wonderful and kind aunt. They called her “one dynamite gal”. She will also be lovingly remembered by sister-in-law Gail Kachuik (Paul) and her family.
The family wishes to thank Dr. Darin Treleaven and his incredible team at St. Joseph’s Kidney Transplant Program for their care and support over many years. It is very much appreciated.
Lois is under the care of Thorpe Bros. Funeral Home, Brantford. Given Covid restrictions, there will be no immediate funeral service.
