Mary Teresa Brazier

After a brief illness at the Brantford General Hospital on Monday September 12, 2011 in her 95th year. Predeceased by her husband John Brazier. Loving Mother of Lois and her husband Gino Mercante and Judy Mercante of Guelph. Cherished Nana of Rosanne ( and the late Stewart Ashe), Danny (Patty), Joe (Melissa), Mike (Joanne). Great Nana of John, David, Christina, Jenna, Dalton, Alyssa, Hunter and one great-great grandchild Scott. Dear Sister of Rose Astolfo, Olive Mercante, Mother-in-law to Corky Mercante. Daughter of the late Raffale and Maria DeFrancisco, predeceased by brothers and sisters Valley (Helen), Ann (Jack) Marco, Annette (Charlie) Del Rossi, Serrie (Mamie), Thelma, Lloyd (Margaret) and brother-in-law Andrea Mercante, Maurice Astolfo, predeceased by a granddaughter Marilu Mercante. Lovingly remembered by many nieces, nephews and other extended family. Mary was a member of the C.W.L., Widows of the Red Cross and the Charlotte Street Senior Citizens Club.

The family will receive friends at the “Thorpe Brothers Funeral Home ”, 96 West Street on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. with Parish Prayers at 8:30 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Mary’s Church, 133 Murray Street on Wednesday September 14th at 11am. Interment St. Joseph’s Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, donations to the Diabetes Association or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
