Mary Ann Polgar

Predeceased by her husband of 54 years Steven John Polgar (2019), her son Richard John Polgar (2021), and her brother Joseph Camilleri (1995). Lovingly remember by her sons, Steven Polgar (Cathy), Michael Polgar (Denise), and her grandchildren, Monica, Cade, Madison, and Ella; as well as her sister-in-law Mary Camilleri, and nieces Joanne, Terry, and Catherine.

Mary immigrated to Canada with her parents from Malta in 1950. She was a teacher for the Catholic School Board, and loved working with children and making a difference in their lives. Mary was proud to host Sunday family dinner, and was extremely dedicated to her family. She never missed a single one of her sons' or grandchildren's sporting events. She loved catching up with her friends, travelling, reading, painting, and was a proud member of the Catholic Women's League. Mary was a devoted member of St. Pius X Catholic Church for close to 60 years. She will be remembered for her kindness to others.

The family will be receiving guests at Thorpe Brothers Funeral Home on Thursday December 28th from 5-8pm. A funeral Mass will be held at St. Pius X Catholic Church on Friday, December 29th at 12pm. Refreshments will follow at St. Pius X. A private family entombment will be taking place at Holy Cross Cemetery at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Mary's name to Stedman Community Hospice and The MS Society of Canada.
