Peacefully, at the Brantford General Hospital, with Margaret holding his hand, on June 24, 2016 in his 92nd year. Loving husband of Margaret and predeceased by his first wife Ulla (1996). He will be remembered by all of his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Do not stand at my grave and weep.
I am not there; I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow.
I am the diamond glints on snow.
I am the sunlight on ripened grain.
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you awaken in the morning's hush
I am the swift uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft star that shines at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry;
I am not there; I did not die
As per Peter’s wishes, cremation has taken place. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Adult Rehabilitation and Therapy Centre would be appreciated by the family. Arrangements entrusted to THORPE BROTHERS’ FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL.
