Center in Bremerton, WA. She was born on May 14, 1933 in Atoka, OK and later
attended Moore High School in Moore, OK. It was during this time that she met her
future husband, Harvey Dorsey. They married on December 29, 1951 and went on to
raise four children. Early in their marriage, Harvey’s service in the Air Force took them
to Spokane, WA and they eventually moved to Bremerton, where they made their home
and raised their family. Jean was involved in various groups and activities, some of the
most dear to her revolved around her family and friends. Jean’s hobbies included a joy
of reading, gardening and camping. She loved nothing more than to be surrounded by
her loved ones. Jean is survived by her husband of 67 years, Harvey; their four children;
Barbara (Brian), Elaine, Michelle (Steve), Mark (Diana); 13 grandchildren; 16
great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on
Friday, August 2, 2019 at 3 pm at Miller-Woodlawn Funeral Home, 5505 Kitsap Way,
Bremerton, WA. In lieu of flowers, we ask that you make a donation to a charity of your
choice in Jean’s name.
