Arthur Edward Scott

May 8, 1921 - July 4, 2015

Arthur was born in Bellingham, WA to Henry A. and Lillus A. (Lloyd) Scott. He attended grade school in Blaine, then moved to Seattle and graduated from Roosevelt High on 6/1/1939.

He began his Electrician Apprentice School for PSNS in March 1941 and was working at PSNS when he enlisted in the Army Air Force Cadet on 3/21/1944. He was Honorably Discharged on 11/6/1945. He returned to PSNS and retired in 1973.

Arthur married I. Marie Hansen on 10/26/1944 and they had 2 daughters, Christie & Sharon.

With Marie he helped charter the F-67 Camera Club in 1950; the Round Square Dance Club in 1955; the Sunday Sinners Bowling League at Westpark in 1965; and he was also a member of the Star Trekkers RV Club. He also enjoyed golf, watching the Mariners & Seahawks and reading. He was a member of NARFE, and a Life Member of Bremerton Lodge #117, F & AM and Poulsbo Chapter #235, OES.

He was preceded in death by Marie in 2004 and Christie in 2008. Survivors include daughter Sharon and Nick Spudich; 7 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren; and a nephew.

Services will be at Brownsville United Methodist Church, 8811 Illahee RD NE, Bremerton, on Thursday, July 9th at 1:00 p.m. Memorials may be given to Diabetes, Pancreatic or Cancer Research.
