Charles “Chuck” Edward Lehmann of Silverdale, a loving husband, father and grandfather, left us August 27, 2024, at eighty-eight years of age in Poulsbo, WA. Born on January 24, 1936, in Detroit, Michigan, he graduated Catholic High School in Toledo, Ohio and would later join the US Navy and make a home in Kaneohe, Hawaii with his family before moving back to the mainland decades later.
Chuck served dutifully throughout his military career, retiring as a Lieutenant Commander after twenty-six years of service. He obtained a Bachelor’s degree from Marquette College and a Master of Science in chemistry from the University of Arkansas. Whether in Kaneohe or Silverdale, Chuck was a devoted and active member of his parish and found deep fulfillment as a volunteer for the church and his community.
He is survived by his loving wife of thirty-seven years Iva Mae Lehmann (née Worms) and two daughters Malia (Jason) Starmer and Moana (Jason) Hence as well as a sister Carol Banules. He will be dearly missed by his six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents Walter and Antoinette Lehmann.
