Dale Christopher Loop passed away at home in Port Orchard on March 15, 2013. The son of Herbert and Edna (Young) Loop, he was born November 28, 1932 in Shelton, WA. Friends and family knew him as Chris.
After graduating from high school in 1953, Chris joined the Army, serving from 1953 to 1957. Following his service to his country, he went to work at PSNS in 1957, retiring in 1989.
Chris is survived by his wife of 58 years, Nancy (Bare) Loop; children, Cheryl Warhurst (George) of Olalla, Becky Bell (Ricky) of Port Orchard, Vern Loop (Melva) of Port Orchard, Carmen Rowden (Carl) of Olalla, and Crystal Petasek (Aaron Dumas) of Port Orchard; 14 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren; brothers, Enzo Loop (Bev) of Port Orchard, David Loop (Sandy Carlton) of Port Ludlow, and Wendel Loop of Shelton; and sister, Bess Olson (Norm) of Olalla.
