

David Morgan Moose passed away on September 16, 2019 in Bremerton. He was born on April 12, 1933 in Omaha, Nebraska, to William H. and Edna (Morgan) Moose. He was preceded in death by his parents and his niece Katy (Moose) Absten. He is survived by his brother Paul H. (Lorene) Moose, niece Kerry (David) Eldridge, niece Lisa (Walter) Newman, nephew David G. Moose, nephew Paul H. (Patti) Moose, Jr., nephew-in-law Roger Absten, and many great- and great-great-nieces and nephews and extended family members. David grew up in Omaha until moving to Silverdale at age 12, where he lived on a farm on Clear Creek Road. He graduated from Central Kitsap High School in 1951, attended Olympic College, and graduated from the University of Washington in 1955. While attending college, he spent summers working in Olympic National Park. David retired after a thirty year career as an Electrical Engineer for the Department of the Navy, which took him to many places including Seattle and Virginia. After retirement, Dave made his home in Port Orchard. During his lifetime Dave enjoyed mountaineering, hiking, traveling, and trains. "Uncle Dave" spent a great deal of time with family and friends, and was known for his humble and generous nature. Dave had many long time friends and acquaintances, and a special thanks to his closest friend Clifford Brandt for his continued friendship and support.
