Gerald Frank Woehrle

Gerald Frank Woehrle (Jerry) passed away on January 3, 2016 at the age of 75 in Bremerton, WA. He was born on October 16, 1940 in St. Louis, MO. He is survived by his loving wife Mary Lee Woehrle (nee Brooks) his son Frank Woehrle, daughter Elizabeth (Don) Nelson, daughter Dawn (John) Trest, son John (Jeanette) Woehrle and son Jasen (Matthew) Woehrle. His sister, Jacqueline Page. He was a very proud Grandfather of 10: Amy, Donald, Brooke, Andrew, Crystal, Halie, Hannah, John B, Jeanette LM and Liam; Great Grandfather of 5: Aidon, Mason, Lilly, Macie and Jaden. Uncle, Cousin, and a great friend to many. He was preceded in death by his parents John O. Woehrle and Marie R. Page (nee Koeppel).

He and Mary met in Albuquerque, NM in 1962, while he was serving in the U.S. Navy. They married on June 15, 1963 and then moved to St. Louis to start a family. Jerry worked for the United States Postal Service for 37 years. Upon his retirement, they moved to the state of WA. He then worked as a night host at The Outlook Apartments.

Services will not be held per Jerry’s request. The family would like to thank the staff of Harrison Hospital 3rd floor; the staff of Belmont Terrace Rehabilitation facility; the friends, residence and staff (in some cases all three, Donna, Judy, Wilma, Tom and Andrew) of The Outlook Apartments and all of the dear friends and volunteers of the Central Kitsap Food Bank.

Jerry was active in his community and enjoyed giving back. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his name to the American Cancer Society or Central Kitsap Food Bank.
