Irma Grace Eberhard was born in Columbia City, Indiana to John Francis and Mattie Bleu McCoy. She met and married Carl Eugene Eberhard. They had 7 children. Carl preceded her in death in 1949. She went on to raise her 7 children by herself by working in an airplane seat making factory in Chicago, Illinois. Later she went to work at Silver Cross Hospital in Joliet, Illinois as a nursing assistant. She retired to Tahuya, Washington to be closer to her sons at age 65. For the past 8 years, she has been living in Sequim, Washington with her oldest son Robert and daughter in law Jean Eberhard. She was preceded in death by daughter Marilyn Louise Smith and daughter Phyllis Elaine Hunsley. She is survived by daughter Shirley Lee Gorman, son Robert Lee Eberhard, son Stanley Eugene Eberhard, son Carl Allen Eberhard, and son Charles Roger Eberhard, 29 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. She will be missed by all. A visitation will be held Thursday, August. 19, 10 at 10am until 12pm with a funeral service to follow.
