Jim was born in Bemidji, MN on October 29, 1943 to Harry and Gladys Miller. Soon after they relocated to Bremerton, WA. He was a 1962 Graduate from Central Kitsap High School in which he met and married his high school sweetheart Susan Mosher on April 17, 1964.
While serving in the Army National Guard from 1962-1968 Jim joined the Local Carpenters Union in which he completed a 4-year apprentice program graduating as a journeyman carpenter, spending 40 years building homes in Kitsap County.
Jim spent many afternoons with a ball in his hands coaching his sons, maintaining his Asian inspired garden, wood working in his shop, and camping.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years Susan, his sons; Jason (Katie), Jeff (Julie). Grandchildren; Devon and Illeana.
