James Rohlfing, 64, died on January 18, 2025 in his home in Poulsbo, Washington. He was a man of devotion- to his patients and colleagues, to his wife and daughters, and to God. Jim was dedicated to his work, giving many years in service to his community as a radiologist. Time not working was spent in the great outdoors: summer hikes and winter skiing, and kayaking all year round.
When he became sick with glioblastoma, there was much he could no longer do. But he could carry his rosary in his pocket, and pray whenever he wished. Once he could no longer speak, or remember the words, he would pray still.
Jim will be remembered for many different things. Most remarkable about him, however, was his abiding gentleness and kindness that he shared freely with all he encountered, loved ones and strangers alike.
Jim is survived by four younger siblings, his daughters Cara and Tess, and his wife of 41 years, Beth Rohlfing.
