June lived in Wheeling, Illinois until August 2012, when she and her husband, Howard, relocated to Silverdale, Washington. She was an Insurance Supervisor, saleswoman, daycare provider and 4H leader, as well as a Homemaker. She enjoyed bowling, traveling and casinos. She was a fan of the Chicago Bears until moving to Washington where she became an avid Seahawks fan.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Howard, and siblings, Charles, Dorothy, Richard, Edward and Elmer Strahs. Her memory will be treasured by her daughters, Shirley Liggett (Phil) and Debbie West (Neal); Grandchildren, Shellee, Philip (Jen), Brian Liggett, Cynthia Kendrick(Kris) and Amanda Joseph(John); Great Grandchildren, Eric Buttz (Katie), Taylor, Alexis, Maysen, Nicholas, Christopher Liggett, Gwen Kendrick and Mariah Joseph; Great Great Grandchildren, Chloe and Josiah Buttz.
