She was born in Seattle, WA and later moved to Spokane with her parents David and Nancy Bosley.
Lisa graduated from Cheney High School in 1984 and soon after moved to Seattle. There she married her husband Steven Hicks on Sept. 3rd 1988, became a Navy wife and they moved to San Diego where Steven was stationed.
Lisa and Steven returned to the great North West and after relocating several times they settled in Bremerton, WA, where she began a career in education. After a short while with AmeriCorps, Lisa became a para educator with the Bremerton School District and for the past 12 years she worked with special needs children.
Lisa was always volunteering for a school function or for her daughter’s Girl Scout troop. She was always there when someone needed a helping hand. She gave to all with unselfish love, incredible patience, a shoulder to lean on, words of encouragement and an extended hand. Her smile was contagious, her laughter could light up a room, and she always had a twinkle in her eye, even when things were getting hard for her. Lisa touched the lives of everyone who knew and cared for her and will always be remembered and forever missed.
Lisa was a devoted wife, mother, friend, and “little sister”. She is survived by her husband Steven, daughter Heidie, son Christopher, sisters Carole and Sandy, brother James, and several nieces and nephews and many friends.
