

November 27, 2020 after a period of declining health. Born in Hopewell, TX on May 6, 1936,
she was the daughter of the late Johnnie and Ruth Locke (Bryant). She was working for Hughes
Aircraft Company in California when she met Jesse, known as “Glenn”; they were married in
1960 and he was the love of her life. Since Glenn made his career in the U.S. Marine Corps,
Margaret had the opportunity to travel all over the US and in Europe. One of her favorite places
was London, where she met Christine and Terry, with whom she kept in touch throughout her
life. She would tell stories of all the adventures they had and the different military events she
and Glenn attended. She and Glenn were members of White Oak Community church in
Maysville, NC and later, Greater Philadelphia Church of Christ, in PA, where she had friends
especially June, Judy and her sister Mary in NC, and Patti, Karen, Marybeth, Ruth and Amby in
PA. She was devoted to her family and friends, served as caregiver for her late husband to the
end of his life and was known by everyone for her generosity.
She was predeceased by her beloved husband USMC Colonel Jesse G. Mulkey in 2011. She is
survived by her brother Aubrey Locke of Abilene, TX; 2 children: Sherri L. Todd (Richard J.) of
Bremerton, WA, and Richard G. Mulkey (Joanne K.) of Lexington, MA; 7 grandchildren:
Christian A. Jennings, Meredith A. Harvey (Sam), Nicholas A. Jennings (Rachelle), Richard S.
Todd, Christopher J. Todd, Jesse J. Mulkey, Amanda N. Mulkey, and 10 great-grandchildren:
Katie Smith (Matthew), Alex Perez (Victor), Ava Harvey, Kolton Harvey, Kellen Jennings, Julian
Todd, Jonathan Todd, Matthew Todd, Nathaniel Todd and Westley Todd.
Memorial and Interment will be in Arlington National Cemetery at a later date. Condolences
