Mike, or as many knew him “Moose”, attended and graduated from Parksley High School where he was on the track and football teams. Mike also played tuba in Dave Steelman’s Band. Growing up his whole life in Parksley on Adelaide and then Bennet Street, he started his work life as many do working at Perdue. Mike then became a machinist first class working at the Norfolk Naval Shipyard in Portsmouth. He was the hardest working man you’ve ever seen, working double shifts, weekends, all voluntarily. He loved his work almost as much as he loved his family. Generous to a fault, he would give you the shirt off his back at his own expense.
After many years in Portsmouth, Mike went to work in Seattle at the Bangor Nuclear Submarine base, where he received many awards for his highly skilled work as a machinist for the United States Navy. His job took him overseas to work at the United States base in Japan as well. Retired from Bangor, Mike is survived by his beloved wife, Gina, their two sons, Joseph and Michael, brothers David and Dennis, and loving sister Joanne, nieces Alexandra, Joanna, nephews Parker, Christopher, and Matthew, and many cousins and in-laws on the east coast. He was preceded in his death by his parents Joseph and Josephine Paranzino of Parksley, and his older brother, Mark Paranzino.
Mike leaves an unbelievable hole in the hearts of all who knew him.
