Elizabeth was born on January 26, 1956, in San Salvador, El Salvador. In October of 1972, she immigrated to the United States, where she immediately began working and building a life rooted in dedication, generosity, and love. Her work ethic began at a young age, selling lemons in El Salvador to help support her family. As the firstborn, she took seriously the responsibility of caring for her mother and siblings, a commitment that shaped her entire life.
Elizabeth’s drive to work came from her deep desire to help others—especially her family back home. Anyone who called on her for help knew she would go above and beyond. Giving was her joy. She made countless sacrifices to ensure others had what they needed, always extending her hand with genuine willingness and a generous heart.
Raised in a Christian home, Elizabeth dedicated her life to the Lord in 1979 and became a member of the New Testament Church. Her faith remained her source of strength throughout her life.
In June of 1986, Elizabeth married Norman, and together they built a loving family. She was blessed with three daughters, ten grandchildren, and one great-granddaughter. After retiring in 2020, she cherished the opportunity to spend more time with her family—something she loved more than anything else.
Elizabeth enjoyed crossword puzzles, sudoku, and board games. She loved shopping and going on drives simply to enjoy the scenery. But her greatest joy came from being surrounded by her family, whether at cookouts, gatherings, or family outings.
In January 2024, Elizabeth was diagnosed with Stage 4 colon cancer. She began chemotherapy shortly after and faced her journey with extraordinary strength. She never cried, never complained, and never became discouraged. She fought with grace, determination, courage, and unwavering faith. In the summer of 2025, she learned that the cancer had spread to her stomach. Even then, she continued to fight with all she had, praising God despite her pain.
On December 3, 2025, at 9:47 AM, God called her home. She took her final breath surrounded by love, with her daughter Tiffany, her nieces Stephanie and Maiyah, and her son-in-law Steve by her side.
Elizabeth is now reunited with her parents, Herminia and Alfonso Muñoz, her brother Robert, her niece Jacqueline, and her great-nephew James.
She leaves behind her devoted husband, Norman; her daughters, Connie, Evelyn, and Tiffany; her beloved grandchildren, Jermaine, Gionni, Amira, Bryan, Antione, Alliyah, Azza, Tarani, Shawn, and Samara; and her great-granddaughter, Milani. She is also survived by her sisters Connie, Marina, Carmen, Nora, and Renee; her brother Alfonso; and a large, loving family of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
Elizabeth’s life was one defined by faith, sacrifice, and unconditional love. Her generosity, strength, and warm spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of those she touched. She will be deeply missed and forever cherished.
