David entered into eternal rest on Saturday, June 25, 2016, after a brief illness at Transition Healthcare. He was preceded in death by his wife, Magdlene; his foster parents and two foster siblings. He is survived by six children, James Dixon (Earnestine), Raymond, Roman and David, Jr. (Lortez), Lena, Julius “Andre” Dixon (Sharon); 11 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; a host of other relatives and friends. The family will receive friends on Saturday, July 9 at Fort Lincoln Funeral Home, 3401 Bladensburg Road, Brentwood, MD from 12:30 p.m. until time of service 1:30 p.m. Interment Fort Lincoln Cemetery.
