David Thomas James Jr.

David Thomas James Jr. transitioned from this life to his eternal resting place in heaven December 18, 2020. He was born on February 3, 1955 in Washington, District of Columbia to the late David Thomas James Sr. and Alberta Bertha Gaines James. David attended DC Public Schools and studied at Morgan State University.

David gave his life to Christ at an early age. The family attended Lane Memorial AME Church in Northeast Washington DC. David’s life took him on several different career paths Hechinger Warehouse Supervisor, Phlebotomist and his most beloved career was as a Chrysler Auto Parts manager. He won many customer service awards. He met and touched many people doing what he loved to do which is to talk and sell.

David was a fun loving, family oriented person. He loved his gadgets and toys. He met and married Kathy on October 6, 2001 and from that union he had a son David M. James.

David leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife Kathy James, three daughters Johnice James (Shana), Jasmine James and Chante James, one son David M. James and one grandson Josiah, three sisters Mary James, Angela James and Vancillia Oliver, two brothers Jerome James and Thomas Oliver (Katherine), mother in law Dorothy Johnson and sister in law Gena Johnson and best friend Jimmy Waddill.

His memory will also be cherished by a host of other relatives, friends and associates.
