Harvey Lee Brooks

On Friday, July 7, 2023, in Alexandria, Virginia, Mr. Harvey Lee Brooks our beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother and uncle entered eternal rest, He was born in Chase City, Virginia on September 29, 1945, to the late Richard H. Brooks and Mary Dailey Brooks.

He attended Charlotte County public schools and joined the army in 1966-1969. Harvey was a Security Officer for over 36 years and retired from Trinity Protective Services in 2013.

On September 19, 1970, he married Mary E. Coleman, and they were married for over 52 years. They loved visiting their children and grandchildren, traveling, and being with their family.

Harvey was a man that was devoted to this family and always put his family before himself. Harvey enjoyed playing chess, reading the bible and James Patterson novels, fishing, WWE, and classic western movies.

Harvey leaves to cherish his loving memories his wife Mary C. Brooks of Alexandira, Virginia. Three sons, Michael L. Brooks of Sheboygan, WI, Lee A. Brooks of Woodbridge, VA, and Alex X. Brooks of Alexandria, Virginia; one devoted daughter-in law, Amanda Norah-Brooks of Woodbridge, Virginia; two granddaughters, Cynthia L. Brooks, and Leah A. Brooks; two grandsons Ethan Norah and Eyan Norah.

He also leaves to cherish his memories, one sister, Gwen B. Canada of Fayetteville, NC; one sister-in-law, Danielle L. Coleman (David) of Naples, Florida; one brother-in-law Charlie O. Coleman of Richmond, VA; five nieces, five nephews, thirteen great nieces, nineteen great nephews and a host of cousins, other relatives, and friends.
