Jair was a kind and caring son, brother, teammate, and friend. Everywhere he went he was smiling and laughing. Even on the worst days, he found a way to stay positive. You always felt loved after seeing Jair.
Jair passed away on June 30th, 2021 at the age of 15. He was born on September 22nd, 2005 to Nilma Ribeiro & Edgar Demata. Growing up Jair fell in love with the game of futbol (soccer). You would always see the joy in his face when he had a soccer ball at his feet. His favorite professional teams are Manchester United and Real Madrid. As a child he enjoyed watching his older brother Edson play. Jair was at every game regardless if it was early in the morning or late at night, he wanted to be there for his brother. Not only did Jair love and value his family but he loved and supported everyone around him. It didn't matter if he knew you for years or for a couple of seconds, he made it known from the start that you were loved by him. This is what made him such a great teammate. He played for DC Stoddert and Washington Capital FC for club soccer. He scored many great goals and gave several assists. Jair was a talented and blessed soccer player with so much ahead of him.
As a child he attended the daycare CentroNia and for elementary school he went to Oyster Adams Bilingual School. Jair went to Alice Deal for middle school, and he finished his sophomore year at August Wilson High School. You would never expect such a young child to have so much love and warmth in his heart, which is why he will be missed very much.
Jair will be remembered not only for his long beautiful curly hair, but for how kind hearted and caring he was. He was the best son, brother, teammate, and friend anyone could ask for. We must cherish every memory we have of Jair, and hold it close to our hearts. Because now we celebrate his new life, his new life in heaven.
