James Albert Colton

On Tuesday, May 31st, 2022, the holy angle visited Cadia Healthcare facility in Hyattsville, Maryland and summoned James Colton to his heavenly home to Rest In Peace forever.

James Albert Colton, son of the late Albert and Odessa Colton. He was born December 25th 1933 in Abbeville, South Carolina. Early in life he moved with his family to Washington, DC. He worked at The Army and Navy Club and was a dedicated employee for years.

James was born with cerebral palsy, but he didn’t let that stop him. He loved music and dancing. He would out dance anyone on the dance floor. He also, loved the Washington football team.

James is preceded in death by his parents Albert Colton, Odessa Colton and his sister Patricia Smith-Williams.

He leaves to cherish his memories, nieces and nephews, Denise Johnson, Stanley Smith, Shelita Logan, Carlos Smith, Donte’ Johnson, Sherrell Johnson and Sheprelle Jenifer plus a host of other relatives and friends.

A memorial gathering for James will be held Saturday, July 2, 2022 at 12:30 PM at Fort Lincoln Funeral Home, 3401 Bladensburg Rd, Brentwood, Maryland 20722.
