Joanna Wilson

Joanna Johnson was born to Benjamin and Ethel Brock Johnson in Winston Virginia on July 11, 1925. Joanna was the youngest of seven children. Her brothers and sisters preceded her in death. She attended elementary school in Winston, Virginia and continued her education in the DC Public Schools.

Joanna worked at Stoddard Baptist Nursing Home, Georgetown University and various other jobs and locations before her retirement.

She married Henry Wilson Jr. From this union there were nine children born. Two sons Calvin and George, a daughter Elise and her beloved husband Henry preceded her in death.

Joanna leaves to cherish her memory daughters, Linda Thomas, Beatrice Moses, and Joyce Wilson, sons Gregory Johnson, Marvin Wilson, and Carlton Wilson, 23 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

A visitation for Joanna will be held Monday, January 3, 2022 at 12:30 PM at Fort Lincoln Funeral Home, 3401 Bladensburg Rd, Brentwood, Maryland 20722. A celebration of life will occur Monday, January 3, 2022 at 1:30 PM. A burial will occur Tuesday, January 4, 2022 at 12:30 PM at Quantico National Cemetery, 18424 Joplin Road, Triangle, VA 22172.
