Kalin never learned the meaning of "stranger danger" and managed to make friends everywhere he went. He always connected with people in the most authentic way, filling those who crossed his path with joy, loyalty, laughter, true friendship, and a guarantee to make people smile. Everyone that knew Kalin knew that he could make them laugh with his infectious laugh.
As a teenager he was known for flying down the streets of Hyattsville on his bike, hence the many scars from the all too many falls of flying down a hill. He was an artist with amazing talent and blessed the world with many thought-provoking and impressive drawings.
Kalin had a special and heart-felt way with words. What looked like a simple birthday or Mother's day card, was a whole lot more expressing just the right words that only Kalin and his grand heart knew how to say. He was known for randomly calling his friends and family to just say "Hi!" or just to say "I love you."
This amazing and exceptional person touched so many lives during his career in the restaurant industry. Loyal guests and coworkers became friends but more importantly, became family.
When he wasn't out and about marching to the beat of his own drum he was at home playing video games, which was one of his favorite pastimes. He was a true foodie with favorites like enjoying a good steak, carne asada, or a tasty chicken soup.
He is survived by his beloved parents Juan & Vicenta Vasquez; brothers, Franklin and Johnny Vasquez; sister, Jenny Vasquez and siblings. He is survived by his deeply loved neices and nephews, Jonathan, Sophia, and Franklin Vasquez. Also survived by a large, and adored extended family of aunts, uncles, and cousins.
He is also survived by his dearest close friends, coworkers, and the many guests and acquaintances that he crossed paths with.
