Michael Frances Hawkins was a resident of Washington, DC, and was born on December 16, 1950, and the youngest of two children to the late Mary E. Hawkins and Freddie Simpson.
Michael fought a good fight at Adelphi Nursing and Rehabilitation Center (Manor Care) after a long lengthy illness on February 17, 2021.
Michael received his education in Washington, DC, public school, and from there to his career. He was employed at "So Other May Eat" and "Kingman Boys and Girls Club. He further his career at the District of Columbia government as a Traffic Officer for many years.
Michael was known as "Hawk or Mike" to many of his friends. He loved sports and seafood. He was a football fanatic, a die-hard Redskins’ fan, and to end.
Michael leaves to cherish his memories, Eugene (brother), Warren (nephew), Juanita (niece), and a host of cousins and friends.
