Nettie graduated from Whittemore High School, Conway SC in 1960. Nettie was employed with Maryland University for 34 years before retiring in 2004 and had several part time jobs throughout her 34 year career.
Nettie had one son Eugene Ward, two sisters Claudia W Benning, Margaret A Ward, brothers Ralph Ward, Richard Ward, John Ward, Jackie Robinson and Leonard Robinson who all preceded her in death.
Precious memories will always be cherished by her two grandsons Eugene Brown and Dwoyn J Sweetney; two sisters Molly Ward and Priscilla R Dewitt; three aunts Sadie Jane Johnson, Marie Bellamy, and Maebell Bird; two great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, cousins and numerous friends. She will be immensely missed by all who knew and loved her.
