Pam was born in Washington, D.C. to parents James T. Richardson Sr. (deceased) and Lona R. Richardson. She was educated in public schools in Washington D.C. She attended Florida A&M University, achieving a degree in Business Management, and Strayer University with a degree in IT and a Master’s in Education. She began working for C&P Telephone Company in 1983 and worked there for 26 years. After leaving the Verizon telephone Company (formerly C&P), she became a Technical Writer for CSC and CACI. Her co-workers always admired her organization, creative eye, and ability to complete tasks early or on time.
Over many years, Pam mentored numerous young ladies, including Girl Scouts, singing groups, primary preaching and teen bible study. Even though Pam had no biological children of her own, every child she encountered was treated as her own. Pam’s children remember her as a kind and gentle soul, who was always encouraging them to pursue their goals.
Pam was accomplished at using her many creative gifts and talents to beautify weddings and events, as well as using her singing voice to enhance the experience.
Generous, witty and dedicated, Pam was living proof of one of her favorite sayings “let your yes be yes, and your no be no.” She was an active member of the University Park Church of Christ throughout her Christian journey, often found volunteering her time with multiple ministries.
Pam is survived by her devoted mother Lona, sisters Cassandra, Rhonda and Kevia, brother Troy Sr., nieces Jazmin and Nicole, nephews James, Ian and Brandon, and host of other family, friends and co-workers.
