Ms. Patricia Shipley Hart

August 5, 1942 – December 28, 2025

Patricia Shipley Hart, 83, passed away peacefully on December 28, 2025, at Hart Heritage Estates in Street, Maryland. She was comforted in her final moments by the presence of her daughter, Amy, her son, Billy, and her daughter-in-law, Tara.

Born on August 5, 1942, Patricia was the daughter of the late Everett and Olga Shipley. A longtime resident of Olney, Maryland, she was a woman defined by her devotion to her family and her talent for bringing people together. Patricia was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Hart, as well as her siblings, June Breeden, Charlie Shipley, and Denny Shipley.

Patricia found her greatest fulfillment in hosting family gatherings and celebrations. Her home was a place of constant connection, filled with laughter and hospitality. She had a vibrant spirit and a love for adventure, particularly enjoying traveling and spending time on the water while boating. She loved eating crabs with an ice cold Michelob.

Her memory will be cherished by her children, Amy Hart Windstein (and husband, David) and William "Billy" Sprague Hart (and wife, Tara); and her stepchildren, Mildred Rae Hart, Leslie Hart Deutschlander, and Christopher Shaw Hart (and wife, Briget); and her sisters-in-law Jeanne Shipley and Pam Shipley. She was a proud and loving grandmother to Dylan Shaw Edwards, Trevor Mackenzie Edwards, William Michael Hart, Matthew Elliott Hart, and Edward James Hart, and now joins her first grandson, Cody Alexander Edwards, who preceded her in death.

A family funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 3, 2026, at 11:30 a.m. at Fort Lincoln - The Little Church, Brentwood, Maryland. Interment will follow at Fort Lincoln Cemetery.

In honor of Patricia’s life and in lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
