Her graveside service will be held Friday, August 31 at 10:30 a.m. at the Bayard Cemetery with Pastor Ted Meter officiating. Abiding by her wishes, the casket will be closed. Friends may sign the register book at the funeral home, Thursday, August 30 from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Millie was born on May 13, 1919 in Kukus, Russia to Conrad and Catherine (Eirich) Kehling. She was united in marriage to Harry G. Pappas on June 15, 1940 in Sidney, NE. She was a member of Women’s Circle, Homemakers Club and card club. She enjoyed working in her yard and spending time with her family.
Survivors include her sisters Dorothy Heidenreich of Kearney, NE., Alva J. DuBois of Boulder, CO., Helen Lessman of Sioux City, Iowa and Marguerite Chapin of Lincoln, NE. and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her mother Catherine, father and stepmother Conrad and Katherine K, husband Harry and brother Phillip C. Kehling.
