

A celebration of her life is being held at the Starr Street Diner at 179 Starr Street in Broadwater, Nebraska on Thursday, August 7, 2008 from 2-4 pm. Friends and family are invited to share good food and loving memories of Marge. A private family burial will occur at a later time.
Marjorie was born in Broadwater on September 24, 1927 to John and Emma Shuler. She resided in the Broadwater/Bridgeport area all of her life. She received her education at a small country school between Bridgeport and Broadwater. She worked as a waitress and cook’s assistant prior to marrying Corporal Sammy Stuart in Bridgeport, Nebraska on June 10, 1950. They made their home in Potter, Nebraska and Commerce City, Colorado until moving to Broadwater in 1975. Together they shared the privilege of raising their eight children and assisting with the spoiling of 13 grandchildren. She enjoyed reading, listening to music, embroidery, canning and gardening while working as a wife, mother, and full time homemaker. She always looked forward to having company and was a loving and devoted friend.
She is preceded in death by her husband, 10 sisters and two brothers. She is survived by her sister, Bonnie (Fred) Thurman of Hermiston, Oregon, her brother Donald (Phyllis) Shuler of Douglas, Wyoming, and her 8 children, Kenny of Emily, Nevada; Andra Vest of Mobile, Alabama; Sammy Jr. and his wife Myrna of Westminster, Maryland; William of Newcastle, Wyoming; Karen Westerkamp of Broadwater, Nebraska; Steven and his wife Sandy of Thornton, Colorado; Connie of Broadwater, Nebraska; and Debra Bowers of Bayard, Nebraska. She was the proud grandmother to 13 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren, and 1 great, great grandson.
