

Pamala “Pam” Kathleen Pohl, 66, of rural Bridgeport, died Saturday, January 9, 2016 at the Morrill County Community Hospital in Bridgeport. Visitation will be from 1-7 PM on Tuesday and from 9-11:30 AM on Wednesday at Bridgeport Memorial Chapel. Her funeral service will be held at 1:30 PM on Wednesday, January 13th at St. Paul Lutheran Church with Reverend Allen Strawn and Reverend Jeffrey Grams officiating. Burial will follow at the Oregon Trail Memorial Cemetery in Bridgeport. Memorials may be directed to the family. Condolences may be left at www.bridgeportmemorialchapel.com
Pam was born November 25, 1949 at Scottsbluff, Nebraska the second oldest child of Robert and Lydia (Reichert) Schildt. She was raised and educated in the Minatare area until the family moved to the Bridgeport area in 1967. Pam graduated with the Class of 1968 from Bridgeport High School. She worked at Bun’s Drug and Smith Grain Elevator in Bridgeport for several years.
Pam was united in marriage to Jerome Pohl on June 1, 1975. The couple lived and farmed in the Bridgeport area. Pam was a hard working woman who enjoyed growing flowers, especially roses, and a large vegetable garden ever year, fishing, cats, dogs, cooking, and spending time with her family. She was the bookkeeper at Pohl’s Welding and Fabrication. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Pam was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Bridgeport and was head of the prayer chain for several years.
Pam is survived by her husband Jerome; son Justin (Megan and Annabel Sauer); mother Lydia Schildt of Bridgeport; sisters and brothers-in-law Lynda and Gary Nuss of Scottsbluff and Connie and John Amateis of Bridgeport; brother and sister-in-law George and Julie Schildt of Bridgeport; nieces and nephews Gregg Nuss (Doretta), Missi Nuss (Mark), Stephany (Joel) Hausmann, John Amateis (Paige and Morgan), Kristin (Adam) Bahl, Brandon Amateis, Erin (Corey) Stickney, Kylie (Jesse) Sebero, and Colby Schildt; and great-nieces, a great-nephew, and several extended family members.
Pam was preceded in death by her father Robert Schildt.
