Silvester Trevino,

Silvester Trevino, Jr. 52, of Bayard died Wednesday, June 25, 2008 at Regional West Medical Center in Scottsbluff.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, July 1, 2008 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Bayard with Fr. Dave Rykwalder officiating.  Interment will be in the Bayard Cemetery.  A Rosary will be recited 7:00 p.m. Monday, June 30, 2008 at the church.    

     Friends may call at the church from 1:00 - 8:00 p.m. Monday June 30, 2008.

    Silvester was born April 10, 1956 in Lockhart, Texas to Silvester and Teresa (Gonzales) Trevino, Sr.   He grew up in Hereford, TX and was employed by Holly Sugar as a locomotive engineer for twenty-five years. He married Mary E. Ybarra October 23, 1980 in Herford, TX.  They came to Bayard in 1996. 

     Silvester enjoyed fishing, hunting and listening to music. 

     He is survived by his wife Mary, Sons: T. J. (Stephanie) Trevino and children Zachary Lee, Alazey Nicole and Marcus Fabian all of Bayard, B. J. (Chantel) Trevino and children Gabriel Jeremiah and Jacob Xavier of Gering, NE and P. J., D. J., and C. J. all of Bayard, NE; daughters: Roxanne of Bayard and Joanna Trevino and her child Cruz Sylvester of Bayard, NE; mother: Teresa Trevino, Hereford, TX, two brothers: Ricardo (Gracie) Trevino, Bayard, NE and Raymond Trevino, Hereford, TX, sisters: Laura Vasquez, Catarina Campos, Mary Lee Funk all from Amarillo, TX and Guadalupe (Jaime) Galvan, Grand Prairie, TX, several nephews and nieces.  

   He was preceded in death by his father Silvester Trevino
