I too have such sweet memories of St. Nicholas grade school and Sister Clarence Marie.  I will always remember that she played Barbara Streisand singing "People who need people" on Fridays. We did get a good education there and were well taken care of.  What a blessing.  Thank you Sister Clarence Marie!

I was lucky enough to have Sister Clarence Maria as my 8th grade class teacher at St. Nicholas. She was a very tall and fun loving person. I remember her promising us she would tell us her name if we passed a test in class. Well, she kept her promise and Nancy was her birth name. We were so excited to find this information out. It was so special, just as she was...I will remember her for the rest of my life as I will remember Sister Rosaire who I had for 7th grade and sang in her choir. I graduated in 1966. And Sister Clarence Marie was one of God's special, special Angels and will be remember by all the students whose lives she had touch. And now I am a teacher's aide for over 20 years and am following her example. Thank you Sister Clarence Maria, it was a joy having you in my life...God loves you and so did I all the students at St. Nicholas School. You will be missed:(

Our whole family attended St. Nicholas... all seven of us! Most of us had pleasure of knowing Sister Clarence Marie.  She was kindhearted yet ran the school like a finely tuned watch.  Thinking of the 'olden days' makes me smile.  Thank you Sister Clarence for great memories and enabling us to get a wonderful education!

My two sisters and I shared many happy memories at St. Nicholas. We remember each St. Nicholas Day when we always arrived at school to find special treats at our desks. I recall being in fourth grade and the eighth graders came into our classroom (Mrs. Smith's room) to surprise Sr. Clarence Marie with her special song. I felt so small as the older kids sang while they stood in the aisles between the desks. 
I have had a couple of recent visits with Sister Clarence, Sr. Margaret Mary and Sister Imelda Marie in Elm Grove and I will treasure the discussions, updates and the laughter. 
My mother-in-law, Mrs. Mary Willegal,  who taught at St. Nicholas School for over thirty years would often tell of the times she would get together with Sr. Clarence Marie and the other teachers and they would share their stories.

Sister Rosaire taught the 1962 fourth grade class of St Nicholas Streisand's song 'People' which we surprised Sister Clarence Marie with on her birthday. She had tears, a smile and hugs for all. I miss and love them both. See you again some day ...

Sister Rosaire had our fourth grade class at St Nicholas sing a surprise "People, People Who Love People" song for Sister Clarence Marie's birthday in 1962. She had tears and a great smile. I loved them both. God Bless - look forward to seeing you again -
