

Eileen Stroud, 74, of Germantown was called home on February 11, 2025. She was surrounded by the love of her family.
Eileen was born on February 5, 1951, to Raymond and Irene (Stenberg) Nelson. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend.
Eileen married John Terlaan in August of 1970. They later divorced after having three beautiful daughters. Eileen married Donald (Donny) Stroud in April of 1994. Eileen was preceded in death by John, Donny and her parents.
She found her greatest joy in her family, cherishing every moment spent with her daughters, Bobbi Jo (Curt) Gabrielsen; Randi Lyn Oesterle, Jaimi Lee (Seth) Terlaan. Her seven grandchildren were the light of her life, Cheyanne, Holden and Connor Gabrielsen, Lexi (Chris) Schultes, Montana (Cody) Oesterle, Viktor Venta, and Simon Hofstad. She took immense pride in each of them, always offering unconditional love, encouragement, and support. Her precious great-granddaughter, Raury was the greatest blessing of all.
She also shared a lifelong bond with her brothers, Raymond (Paula) Nelson; Lloyd (Kathy) Nelson; Michael (Sherri) Nelson and her sister, Linda (Bob) Struck. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Eileen had a deep love for entertaining and bringing people together. She delighted in hosting gatherings, baking, celebrating the holidays, and making every occasion special. Her home was always filled with love and laughter. She loved beautiful summer days, gardening and playing cards. She enjoyed working as a bartender for many years. Her many, many friends would often call her “Leener”.
She leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories that will live on in the hearts of her family and friends.
A short service to honor Eileen’s life will take place in the Chapel of the Flowers at Wisconsin Memorial Park on April 14, 2025 at 1 pm; graveside burial immediately following. She will be laid to rest next to her cherished mother.
A celebration of Eileen’s life will be held on July 26, 2025 at Dhiensville Historic Park in Germantown from 1 – 6 pm. Her love, laughter, and the joy she brought to every gathering will never be forgotten.
