

Jerubbaal “Jerry / Jay” A. Montgomery, age 44, recently of Appleton, WI passed away unexpectedly Thursday, July 10, 2025 at the William S. Middleton Memorial Veterans Hospital in Madison, WI. Jerubbaal was born in Arcadia, WI on August 15, 1980.
Jerubbaal is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents (Norval and Deloris Montgomery), maternal grandparents (Michael & Jeannette Vincelli), and brother John Montgomery.
Jerubbaal is survived by his parents: Mark (Roberta) Montgomery of Dousman, WI and Cheri (Dave) Miescke of Horicon, WI; two sisters: Leesha (Jonathan) Zielke of Princeville, IL and Zeruiah (Gary) Bandy of Edmond, OK; three brothers: Jehu (Neticia) Montgomery of Colorado Springs, CO, Ezekiel Montgomery of New York, NY, and Philip (Lara) Montgomery of White Cloud, MI; 5 nieces, 4 nephews; Aunts, Uncles and many friends.
Jerubbaal grew up in Lone Rock, WI and was a member of the cross country and track teams where he graduated from Beaver Dam High School in 1999. He served his Country in the Army National Guard from December 6, 1999 until his retirement on June 30, 2016. He was deployed to Iraq in 2009. His first call to active duty was to the Pentagon following 9/11, while he was attending the University of Maryland.
He studied Biomedical Sciences at Marquette University in Milwaukee, WI.
Jerubbaal liked to golf. He especially enjoyed golfing with his dad, Mark. He had a special talent and eye for photography; he enjoyed photographing nature and catching his friends and family in candid special moments of life. Jerubbaal liked biking. He especially loved his English Bulldog ‘Winston’ who he jokingly referred to as his ‘son.’
Jerubbaal was a loyal friend. He had compassion for anyone in need. He especially loved his brothers, sisters, and parents. He was always the first one to want to help if there was a need and he was able.
Jerubbaal had strong convictions, a tender heart for the Lord, and a love for Israel and the Jewish people.
From the time he was small, he had a thirst for knowledge and was happiest when he was learning. This stayed with him his entire life.
Jerubbaal Arcadia Montgomery was a bright light and gift to all that loved him. We are thankful for the time the Lord gave us with him…and now we give him back to the Lord Jesus, the One who knows and loves him best.
Services will be held at Wisconsin Memorial Park in Brookfield, WI on Saturday, August 23, 2025: Visitation at 1:00pm; Memorial Service at 2:00pm with Pastor Timothy Winter officiating.
