Of Wauwatosa, WI passed away peacefully on Friday August 13, 2010 into Jesus’ loving arms after a courageous battle which began April 29, 2010 at the age of 69. Even though this journey was difficult God was faithful to Ron and family every step of the way. Ron was born July 15, 1941 and grew up on Milwaukee’s Eastside. He was welcomed into Heaven in the loving arms of his father Scotty, mother Alice, brother Jim and sister in law Mary. He is survived and will be missed by his loving wife of 50 years Carol (nee Ghirardini), loving father of Ronnie (Debby), Sandy (David) Cruz, Tony (Karen), and the best Grandpa to Angela, Nicole, Deanna Cruz; Ryan, Tori, Carly MacCudden; Anthony, Kevin, Thomas and Peter MacCudden. Also survived by sisters Judy (Reed) Schultz, Kate (Al) Ulik, Susan (Jim) Gruenwald, brother David (Chris), and sister in law Rose Ghirardini. He also leaves behind many loved nephews, nieces and extended family as well as numerous lifelong friends from all walks of his life.
Ron was employed at Barry Trucking as a driver and dispatcher for 19 years. He then was Transportation Manager for Kohl’s Foods for 20 years until they closed and he then retired. His most rewarding work of all was the time he spent as the BOSS of his family crew of the best moving company ever. One of his passions was riding his Harley and sharing the road with the “hogs”. Ron was one of the kindest persons you could meet and made every person he came in contact with feel so special. We thank all the caregivers at St. Luke’s ICU and Select Specialty who lovingly took special care of Ron and all his need. Thanks to Dr. Mahoney and Dr. Brand for their wisdom and love shown on Ron and his whole family. If you would like to follow Ron’s journey visit www.caringbridge.org/visit/ronmaccudden
