Born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, on March 19, 1951, Tim was the son of Wanita M. Hunn and John L. Hunn. He graduated from the Wisconsin School of the Visually Handicapped in Janesville in 1971, and went on to study at the University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee before earning his Bachelor of Arts in Social Welfare from California State University, Fresno in 1988.
Tim dedicated his professional life to serving others as a social counselor for the blind. He was a skilled reader and teacher of Braille, and his work offered both practical tools and deep encouragement to those navigating life with visual impairment.
On April 26, 2008, Tim married Ethel Lee Hughs in Fresno, California. Their partnership was marked by steadfast love, mutual respect, and quiet joy.
Tim's caregiver Pansy was not only a caregiver for a few years but also a wonderful friend who went above and beyond caring for him, they loved to watch the Packer and 49'ers football games together. She was also there for him in his last days.
Tim is survived by his step-son, Robert Bush, and his wife Sandy; his siblings Richard L. Hunn, Gerald W. Hunn (Tim’s twin), Linda S. Hunn, and William J. Hunn; and a wide circle of friends and former colleagues who were enriched by his compassion and wisdom.
