

Arthur Sidney Shorr passed away on Sunday, February 8, 2026 surrounded by loving family. He leaves his loving wife Nancy (Fichman Daniels); children Diana Sklar (Craig), Robin Forman (Sam), Rachel Daniels, Ross Daniels (Jodi) and Robert Daniels (Jessica); grandchildren Zachary and Sarah Sklar, and Michael and Andrew Daniels, and many more extended family members.
Arthur was born in Brooklyn, NY on September 19, 1944. He was a proud graduate of the Yeshivah of Flatbush and Brooklyn College. He earned an MBA in Health Care Administration from The George Washington University.
Mr. Shorr was President and Founder of Arthur S. Shorr & Associates, Inc., Consultants to Health Care Providers; an international management consulting firm specializing in strategic planning and business services to Hospitals, Medical Groups, Physicians, and Attorneys. He was Board Certified in Health Care Administration and a Life Fellow of the American College of Health Care Executives.
Mr. Shorr was active professionally in the healthcare field for over 50+ years on a full-time basis. He was Chief Operating Officer, Senior Vice President and a Trustee of Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, Los Angeles, Chief Operating Officer and CEO of the Mount Sinai Medical Center, Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He began his career at Hutzel Hospital, Detroit Medical Center.
He held academic appointments at University of Southern California and The George Washington University Milken Graduate School of Public Health. He was a recurring speaker for national educational seminars and faculty for the American College of Healthcare Executives and the American Association for Justice. He also lectured and consulted internationally in South Africa, Canada, Australia & Israel. He was a frequent national lecturer on Health Care Policy, Contemporary Issues in Healthcare Administration, and Hospital Corporate Negligence. He authored “Hospital Corporate Negligence; Legal & Administrative Issue’s” a textbook for Hospital Trustees, CEOs, and attorneys published in October 2009.
Mr. Shorr was an elected Director of the Desert Healthcare District Palm Springs California, and a Trustee and Board member of The American Hospital Management Corporation and Mad River Community Hospital in Arcata, California.
A Funeral Service will be held Tuesday, February 10, at 1 PM, at the Sharon Memorial Park Chapel, located behind the Administration building. Interment to follow.
Shiva will be at the home of Jodi and Ross Daniels following services.
In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made in Arthur’s memory may be made to the Jewish National Fund at www.jnf.org.
