Born in Boston on January 12, 1933, she is daughter of Benjamin and Tilly (Smith) Gidez. Barbara graduated from Brookline High School in 1950 and was a lifelong Brookline resident.
She leaves behind her beloved daughters, Heather Chandler Morin and husband, Donald and Candy Benson and husband, Rick; two grandchildren, Harrison Benson and Dakotah Benson and husband, Brian; brother Howard Gidez and lifelong friends, the Greenberg family.
She is predeceased by her husband, Lewis Chandler; son Scott Chandler, and her brother Melvin Gidez.
