Carol B. Fine, age 77, of Brookline, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, April 14, 2022. Beloved wife of Jonathan S. Fine. Devoted mother of Stephanie L. Fine and Jeffrey B. Fine. Predeceased by parents, Isadore and Harriett (Slome) Brownstein and sister, Joan R. Brownstein.
A graduate of Russell Sage College, Carol was one of the first women to be an officer at The First National Bank of Boston. She retired from the bank to concentrate on raising her family. Then she embarked on a successful career as a licensed Realtor and broker specializing in Brookline and Newton for many years.
Carol loved flowers and enjoyed her orchids and bulbs around her house. She enjoyed cooking, baking and was an avid viewer of cooking shows. Later in life, she enjoyed traveling to Chicago to visit her son and reading Antiques Digest to find exhibits to visit, such the Schulmberger exhibit at the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts in Richmond and Crystal Bridges in Bentonville, AR. She found happiness in the simplest of things—a crisp crab cake, her new blue rain boots, her favorite fleece blanket. Carol loved nothing more than going for car rides with her husband, Jonathan.
Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, April 19, 2022 at 12 noon at Temple Israel Cemetery, 492 North Ave., Wakefield, MA.
Memorial Observance will be at Mrs. Fine’s residence on Tuesday, April 19 from 6-8pm and Wednesday, April 20 from 6-8pm.
In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to Dementia Society of America https://www.dementiasociety.org
